The Apple and Blueberry Fritters were still warm when we got them at 10 am. Not only are the gigantic, but they are also full of fruit and flavour! Imagine a fresh, fluffy Belgian waffle filled with fruit and soaked with butter and syrup, and that's what these fritters are like. They'd super ooey gooey and sticky, so make sure you grab some wet naps! I normally hate Honey Crullers (I know, I'm odd,) but I actually liked the one at Mavericks! My hubby said, "It's the only one he'll eat from now on." The Cherry Donut was exactly what you'd hope for...Cherry chip cake soaked in a not-overly-sweet melty frosting. “ So I've been to Mavericks a few times now. Thier fritters are amazing. Large. Packed with flavour and loads of apple. Always taste fresh never stale. Owner is very knowledgable and super friendly. If you know what a quality donut tastes like this is the place. If all you know is Tim Hortons this ain't the place for you. Yes they are pricey but the love and care that go into them make them worth it. Also had a cake donut. Tasted amazing with a hint of a coconut taste. Some reviews complain about them being really greasy. I have no idea what they are talking about. Never had that issue. ”
